The plan had been set yesterday. The run was going to take place over a 5.85 mile route over which I ran regularly some twenty to thirty years ago. I had stopped running on that route because of increased traffic on the Scotstown Road. Traffic travelled far too fast for it to be a safe option. Yesterday, however, I noticed that Scotstown Road was closed for maintenance and so I thought that the time was right to return to a former route. The actuality was, however, that Scotstown Road had been re-opened overnight. Not daunted I carried on with the run.

The weather wasn't very good but other than a short shower of rain the run was worthwhile and enjoyable. Discussion covered issues relating to more environmentally friendly or energy efficient lighting and service issues in stores.
