This morning the spirit of investigation was with me. The idea of running along the south side of the river Don had emerged a couple of days ago and the idea was firmly planted. The thought had turned into a desire to do it. The route chosen to get to my Don side track was via Balgownie playing fields and Danestone rather than the more direct but busy Parkway route. Why spoil a quiet riverside run by first of all running 2 miles on the Parkway?

The weather was dry, the sky fairly clear and the temperature perfect for running.

This rewarding run will certainly become a standard despite the rather arduous home journey which requires some fairly steep uphill running.
