Technical Note

The video was recorded live on a Panasonic NV-DS35 mini dv video recorder without any external microphones and without any consideration for positioning for optimum picture or sound quality.

The audio was separated from the video on a G3 Mac using iMovie, and was compressed in Media Cleaner Pro 4 using the QDesign Music 2 codec.

Still images were extracted from the video in iMovie and were processed in Adobe PhotoShop to make them as suitable as possible for web delivery with respect to brighness, contrast, physical size, file size and receiving platform. Modems with speeds from 28KB/s were catered for with respect to delivery.

Images are stored as standard JPEGs (rather than as progressive JPEGs) and have in some occsion related 'placeholder' GIF files which are displayed while the main images are loading
