Aberdeen, located in the North East of Scotland, and also known as the Granite City because of its large number of city centre granite buildings can be one of the most beautiful of cities - when the sun shines. It can also be a rather grey and dreich (dull and unattractive) place when the Scottish weather chooses to hide the sun.
